The Star Jelly Performance Company was founded by Carla Margolis. Carla Margolis is a versatile singer & actress who is comfortable performing a wide variety of styles of music, ranging from Jazz & Classical, to Musical Theater & Pop. She is a certified teacher of the Dalcroze Technique & studied at the Dalcroze School of Music in NYC, Westminster Choir College & the Julliard School of Music. Carla lives in Michigan where she performs & composes & teaches.
Carla is also a passionate theater director, writer and composer dedicated to bringing innovative and original theatrical productions to life. With a strong commitment to enhancing the cultural landscape of her community, Carla’s work blends artistic creativity with meaningful storytelling. The debut of her first full-length musical, “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die! (The Musical),” exemplifies her talent for expanding classic narratives with fresh perspectives. Carla is dedicated to creating thought-provoking and entertaining works that engage and inspire audiences, contributing to the vibrant arts scene in Washtenaw County and beyond.
